Mê-voyè Fêqê (/mɘ/ /ˈvojè/ [other; spare] [shirt; blouse]) is a subtropical Town located in the Sëcëngêki Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Mê-voyè Fêqê is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Mê-voyè Fêqê was founded by Byocthë Tsmëmesmë, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Mê-voyè Fêqê has a yearly average temperature of 25°C (77°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 29°C (84°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 22°C (71°F). Mê-voyè Fêqê receives an average of 187 cm/y (73 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Mê-voyè Fêqê covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 2302 m (7552 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Mê-voyè Fêqê was founded durring the early 15th century in fall of the year 1438, by Byocthë Tsmëmesmë. The establishment of Mê-voyè Fêqê was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Mê-voyè Fêqê's construction back out of the project. Byocthë Tsmëmesmë pushed on reguardles, and Mê-voyè Fêqê was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Mê-voyè Fêqê was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Mê-voyè Fêqê is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.

Mê-voyè Fêqê is buildings are arranged arround a network of spacious gravel streets which form a diamond shaped grid, where each diamond verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller diamond has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town has a defencive wall made from querried stone. The wall is equipped with a full set of battlments but the nature of its construction methodology leaves it somewhat vulnerable to siege equipment. That said, the town is well defended against anything short of an army. The town's cost-cutting-focused defences are visibly old, but also obviously maintained semi-regularly. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with ocasional mantance of the towns defences.

A look around Mê-voyè Fêqê shows Mê-voyè Fêqê as a den of corruption. Birbes can be seen changing hands openly, such that it must be customary to do so and must have been for a long time. The locals have no fear, no annoyance at the state of things, it simply is. The town has another layer to it as well. Locals can be overheard having academic discussions, as well as talking about scholarly subjects in general. It’s quite clear Mê-voyè Fêqê places a lot of value on education and being a learned individual, or at least, faking it.

Mê-voyè Fêqê has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Mê-voyè Fêqê's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Mê-voyè Fêqê possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Town. Mê-voyè Fêqê's grid is powered by an arcane means.

Mê-voyè Fêqê has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Mê-voyè Fêqê's natural decorations nor waterways.

Mê-voyè Fêqê has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Mê-voyè Fêqê has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

Mê-voyè Fêqê's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is admittedly strange and non-linear style rooted in defiance of symmetrical shapes. It championed the creation of buildings with a unique visual appearance. the structural norms of classic buildings and deforms or moves away from elementary architectural principles. By including non-linear designs processed into its buildings and favoring fragmentation, this style expressed a form of controlled chaos. Its buildings appear out-of-the-ordinary, draw the eye in immediately and sometimes create a feeling of strangeness. These distorted shapes and structure are not reserved to the building’s outer facade, they destabilize interior elements too, favoring minimalism and play on people’s perceptions by injecting a futuristic touch.

Due to the actions of local Kami, spring is long in Mê-voyè Fêqê.

The Trailgaunt near Mê-voyè Fêqê are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Mê-voyè Fêqê's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves embarking on a group pilgrimage to channel Wild Magic energies of tier 1 via moments of science.

A vast influx of newcomers over the last (19049 % 6)+1 years has greatly spiked Mê-voyè Fêqê's population. They may have been drawn by economic opportunities, or fled some pursuing peril, or been forcibly moved there by a ruler who wanted to dilute the existing native cohesion. The natives may not have the resources or opportunities to integrate these newcomers, and it may be that the new population has no desire to stay longer than is necessary.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century the Kami spared the town from the rampage of a legendary monster. One of Mê-voyè Fêqê's local festivals commemorates this miracle.
